The Three of Disks: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

2-15-22 through 2-22-22

3 of Disks

The Three of Disks is this week’s Tarotcast card. This card is also called the Three of Pentacles or Coins. It brings us into the realm of money, assets and resources – things of material value. This week’s card finds us shifting our focus to how we earn money through our work. As a result, we’re ready to get down to business. Rewards and recognition come from our abilities and contributions. Also, there is an element of delayed gratification with this card. Better a little later than never, right? We identify and put in place the things that work best for us. This benefits us in our professional lives and all other aspects of our lives as well.

The Elements

The Three of Disks card creates the best combination of Fire and Earth. This is action with practical understanding and application. Think of the strength of bricks fired in a kiln. Or the controlled burn of forests and fields to renew nutrients and bring fertility.

The Number 3

The Threes of the Minor Arcana represent form and structure. They are the first results or manifestations. They show the effects of energy in action – in this case, for Disks and Earth. They bring a perspective, a viewpoint and an understanding of events and situations. Threes show the process of resolution and unification. This is a natural progression following the polarization and duality of the twos.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, the Three of Disks represents the formula 3. Sephiroth or sphere 3, Binah (Understanding). The sphere of Saturn, and Divine Feminine or Yin energy in the suit of Disks – Assiah, the material world. Combined with the element of Earth (physical bodies, real assets and resources). Plus, Mars in Capricorn, equaling Works.

Astrology

The Three of Disks symbolizes Mars in Capricorn. It rules from 10 to 20 degrees Capricorn, or December 31st through January 9th. So, if your birthday falls on or between those dates, you’ll be feeling this week’s energy even more than the rest of us. Mars is physical energy. In the sign of Capricorn, controlled force directed toward a specific goal. Also, directed passion and effort, tenacity and endurance.

In real-time astrology, the Sun completes its transit of Air-sign Aquarius. On February 18th it enters Water-sign Pisces. Gentle, dreamy energy may have trouble finding an expression this week. Still, as the last sign of the zodiac Pisces energy can see things through to completion.

Mars continues its transit of Capricorn, a perfect energetic match to the energy of this week’s card. This brings self-discipline and perseverance. There’s a need to rise to challenges and overcome resistance. Thus, we accomplish much.

There’s a Full Moon in Fire-sign Leo on February 16th. We express ourselves. We’re tuned in to our creativity. If we’ve neglected or delayed self-care this is the perfect time for some me-time. The Venus-Mars conjunction in Capricorn this month is exact at the Full Moon. Look for dynamic romantic and creative opportunities.

“It’s been a hard day’s night, and I’ve been working like a dog…”

On February 17th Jupiter (in Pisces) sextiles Uranus (in Earth-sign Taurus). New opportunities and attitudes bloom under this influence. Group activities of all kinds, professional and personal benefit our outlook. In addition, we’re positive and optimistic. Embrace change!

“Taking care of business (every day) – taking care of business (every way)…”

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of this card means working hard instead of smart. The directionless expending of energy and effort without grounding in practical reality. Also, becoming controlling or manipulative.

Light

Let’s focus on creating and then following through on a viable plan of action. As a result, we’ll reap the rewards that follow.

Alchemy

Power colors: scarlet red, azure blue and emerald green along with indigo, grey and black.

Power stones: ruby, garnet, bloodstone, onyx and jet. Wear as jewelry or carry as power stones to focus on productivity, positivity and growth.

Power metals: lead and iron. Not great for wearing, but good symbols of strength and endurance.

Power fragrances: wild rose, thistle, snowdrop, ginger, tobacco and pine. These will boost your energy and optimism.

Power foods: foods prepared with allspice, cayenne, garlic, ginger and pepper. And all provide the same beneficial effects already described.
