Six of Cups: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading
4-05-22 through 4-12-22
The Six of Cups is this week’s Tarotcast card. This card represents pleasure in all its many forms. It symbolizes well-being and harmony. Natural desires operating without effort or strain including physical and sexual pleasure. With this card we find ease and satisfaction. Here there is joy, fulfillment and emotional renewal. We may connect with our fondest wishes, also happy memories and nostalgia. We may find ourselves longing for the past.
The Elements
The Sun penetrating and fertilizing the element of Water releases tremendous power. Creativity is born from the Feminine principle energized by union with the Male. This card symbolizes the union of Yin and Yang. Deep satisfaction results.
The Number 6
The sixes of the Minor Arcana restore harmony and balance. The fives cause disruption. They cleanse, regenerate and create conflict in a stable system. Afterward, the sixes bring affirmation, confirmation, validation and solidification.
Kabbalah
On the Tree of Life, this card represents the formula 6. Sephiroth or sphere 6, Tiphareth (Beauty). The sphere of the Sun; energy in complete, balanced manifestation. In the suit of Cups (Briah). The creative world; the element of Water, our emotions. Plus, the Sun in Scorpio equaling Pleasure.
Astrology
This card symbolizes the Sun in Scorpio. It rules from 10 to 20 degrees Scorpio or November 2nd through November 12th. So, if your birthday falls on or between these dates, you’ll be feeling this week’s energy even more than the rest of us. The Sun brings out the warm, sensuous and even fun-loving side of the Scorpion.
In real-time astrology, the Sun continues its transit of Fire-sign Aries. Aries energy is dynamic and forward-looking. We’re bursting with creativity and the desire for new experiences. This may cause some friction with the energy of this week’s card as we may feel pulled forward and backward at the same time.
“Ooh, ooh, pain is so close to pleasure everybody knows…”
April 5th Venus enters Scorpio’s fellow Water-sign, Pisces. This is gentle, peaceful energy that harmonizes with this week’s card. We are filled with longing for love. Also, sensuality, dreamy desire and imagination. We’re humble and highly sentimental. Much of our focus will be on others rather than on ourselves.
“It’s the principle of pleasure, oh – it’s the pleasure principle, oh oh…”
On April 9th, the First Quarter Moon in Cancer completes the triad of Water sign energies this week. Cancer’s deep emotions and close connection to the phases of the Moon begins a new cycle in our lives.
Mercury enters Earth-sign Taurus on April 10th. Practicality and sensuality influence our pursuit of pleasure. We can indulge without getting lost or unbalanced.
Jupiter’s conjunction with Neptune in Pisces on April 12th has the power to make our dreams come true. We experience magic and miracles. Manifesting our heart’s desire feels effortless. This is a rare astrological event so this is a magical energy. We are idealistic and altruistic. We may not be too practical under this conjunction so the Mercury-in-Taurus transit can be a big help.
Be extra-cautious in legal and financial matters. Reality-checking is a must right now where the material world is concerned.
“You remain my power, my pleasure, my pain…”
Finally on April 14th Mars enters Pisces. We avoid confrontation and we’re motivated to pursue spiritual and emotional goals. We are compassionate. Increased adaptability is the plus side of this energy. But the downside can lead to escapism. Or we may become passive-aggressive. Avoiding confrontation can lead to dishonesty and confusion. If we can bypass the pitfalls this energy can create some positive situations and outcomes.
Shadow
Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of the Six of Cups card includes escape from reality. The experience of emotional imprisonment in or by the past.
Light
Let’s focus on rich, positive emotional experiences. Use your creative power this week!
Alchemy
Power colors: yellow, orange, golden yellow, amber and red; also, blue-green and dark brown.
Power stones: topaz, ruby, jet, amber carnelian, diamond and tiger’s eye. Wear these as jewelry or carry as power stones. They will heighten your physical senses and creative imagination.
Power metals: gold, iron and plutonium. Only gold is wearable. In this case yellow gold is your best choice. The strength of iron and the reactivity of plutonium represent our creative power.
Power fragrances: heather, sweet basil, marigold, rosemary, acacia, and cedar. Also, orange, cinnamon, clove, and frankincense. Stimulate your imagination and connect with your physical senses this week. Feeling seductive? You’ll be dynamite, so be careful!
Power foods: use sweet basil, sunflower seeds, galangal, oranges, rosemary, cinnamon and clove. Also, beverages brewed from hops (beer!) or juniper (gin!), in moderation of course. And all provide the same beneficial effects already described.
