Two of Swords: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

3-22-22 through 3-29-22

Two of Swords

Two of Swords is this week’s Tarotcast card. We can reconcile differences this week, from a prime position of equilibrium. It’s rare that we can weigh every problem and challenge with the utmost fairness. So, make the most of this week’s energies of balance, justice and impartiality. We can heal old wounds and arrive at win-win solutions to complex problems.

The Elements

Here, the Air element rises above storm and strife. Reflective Lunar light illuminates and calms.

The Number 2

The Twos of the Minor Arcana show balanced but polarized states. The twos are duality. This is our way of seeing and being in the world to understand it. Here we weigh and balance things against their opposites. Good vs. bad, dark vs. light, positive vs. negative. Until we differentiate, we can’t resolve and unify.

Kabbalah

On the Tree of Life, the Two of Swords card represents the formula 2. Sephiroth or sphere 2, Chokmah (Wisdom). The sphere of the Zodiac, the Divine Masculine or Yang energy. In the suit of Swords; Yetzirah, the formative world. The element of Air – our intellect and mental processes. Plus, the Moon in Libra equaling Peace.

Astrology

The Two of Swords card represents the Moon in Libra. It rules from 0 to 10 degrees Libra, or September 23rd through October 2nd. So, if your birthday falls on or between these dates, you’ll be feeling this week’s energy even more than the rest of us. Swords are the suit of war, disruption and violence. The old name of the Two of Swords card was Peace Restored. We can look at this card as a welcome but temporary break from conflict. As a result, we have the chance to make some genuine, positive changes.

In real-time astrology, the Sun is transiting Fire-sign Aries. Libra is Aries’ polar opposite sign. The Moon and Sun are also a duality. These energies intensify the energy of this week’s card. The first day of Aries season is the spring equinox so this is a spark of new life, rebirth and growth. As a cardinal sign, Aries is one of the self-starters of astrology – the first one on the wheel.

“Peace like a river ran through the city…long past the midnight curfew…”

Mercury enters Aries on March 27th. In counterpoint to the energy of this week’s card, we want to reach decisions fast! Objectivity and fairness may vanish and emotions can drive us.

On the positive side we are quick-witted, original and inventive in our communication. In contrast, we’ll want to avoid sarcasm and exaggeration. And of course, outright lying!

“I’ll carve away the worries in your heart, and I’m here to make peace…”

Venus (Libra’s ruling planet) remains in close conjunction with Mercury. This helps soften the dynamic drive of this transit to keep us aware of others’ needs and feelings.

“…Give me peace on earth, give me light, give me life…”

Shadow

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of the Two of Swords card: unresolved tensions. Also, indecision. The inability or unwillingness to make a choice or take action.

Light

Let’s focus on fulfilling our quest for knowledge. Engage in positive, constructive, peaceful activities this week.

Alchemy

Power colors: include blue, blue-green, emerald green and silver.

Power stones: opal, lapis, sapphire and moonstone. Wear as jewelry or carry as power stones for fair assessment of people and situations. These will help us draw correct conclusions and exercise good judgment.

Power metals: copper and silver. Copper has therapeutic properties; silver is always a beautiful choice.

Power fragrances: violet, white rose, poppy, water lily, gardenia, jasmine, myrrh and sandalwood. These scents bring peaceful thoughts and calm deliberation.

Power foods: foods prepared with coconut or lotus root. Also, teas brewed from wintergreen (mint) or jasmine. And all provide the same beneficial effects already described.
