The Ace of Disks: Weekly Tarotcast™ – Free Tarot Reading

The Ace of Disks is this week’s Tarotcast card. This suit is also called Pentacles or Coins. The Ace of Disks embodies the intrinsic powers of the element of Earth. Solidification, stability, the material and physical world. Assets and resources. Earth’s power to ground and provide a foundation are all contained in the Ace of Disks. The Earth element also symbolizes our physical senses. So, this Ace represents our ability to take in and process a range of sensations from the physical world.
All the Aces of the Tarot can be a bit confusing. They correspond to the Princesses (Pages) of each suit. This connection is stronger than that with cards 2 through 10 of their respective suits. This card has the Princess of Disks as its Throne. Together they rule the Aries-Taurus-Gemini celestial quadrant. This quadrant is the area above the North Pole as well as the continents of Europe and Africa. Whew!
Kabbalah
On the Tree of Life this card represents the 1st sephiroth or sphere of Kether (the Crown, origin). Perceived through the element of Earth; Assiah, the Material world. The origin of matter. Wealth and power. The material world as tangible forms of energy. We deal with issues such as stability, security, endurance and reliability this week. Also, our relationship with money (both positive and negative).
Astrology
The Ace of Disks holds the energy, qualities and characteristics of the three Earth signs. These are: 1) Power (Taurus), 2) success (Virgo) and 3) the magic of money (Capricorn). So, the Ace of Disks represents the energy of wealth, material assets and resources.
In real-time astrology, the Sun continues its transit of Earth-sign Capricorn. No-nonsense practicality and high aspirations are some Capricorn’s positive qualities. There are always new mountains to climb and new heights to scale. The Saturn rulership of this sign can lead to some dark moods.

We’re still feeling the influence of Venus retrograde in Capricorn too. What we value and who we love will receive some intense scrutiny. New Moons help us set intentions for the next lunar cycle. The Capricornian ability to set clear goals is a perfect match to this week’s card. And we’ll work towards them with dedication and determination.

Misuse, darkening or the shadow energy of the Ace of Disks includes stinginess. Also, greed and shallow materialism.
Light
Let’s focus on personal success. The positive aspects of exercising our power, and the generous magic of money this week!
Alchemy
Power colors: white-flecked gold. As well as all deep earth-tones – greens, browns, ocher and also black.
Power stones: rock crystal, emerald, jet, tourmaline, quartz, peridot, onyx and amethyst. Wear as jewelry or carry as power stones to create and experience prosperity this week.
Power metals: iron and lead. Neither is good for wearing, but they remind us of the immense power and endurance of the earth element.
Power fragrances: cedar, cypress, comfrey, honeysuckle, magnolia, patchouli, primrose, sage and vetiver. These will help heal your relationship with money. They help us to find harmony between the spiritual and material worlds.
Power foods: foods prepared with salt, all grains and nuts, sage, and tea brewed from comfrey. And all provide the same beneficial effects already described.
